HAUT MEDOC

   A special reserve of 12000 bottles created in honour of the five daughters of Henri François CRUSE. Stemming from the combination of old Merlot grapes and old Cabernet Franc grapes, this wine is aged in 100% new oak for 12 months.

   It is a modern wine, woody, extremely mature, fruity, and charming.

   This wine can be kept a little longer than the traditional Cuvée of Chateau du Taillan, meaning between 12 and 15 years. The price is around 20.00€ directly from the winery.

 

THE TASTING

2000: Nowadays, this blend has been remarkably successful as an export. The wines are very mature, concentrated, and well balanced. It is certainly a wine to keep.

2002: The 2002 Cuvée des Dames is extremely charming today, because of its soft and mature nature.
